It all depends on what you want. For $100, Mangmi makes a good option. If want a flip device around that price, miyoo flip and Anbernic rg35xx sp are good devices at that price. Again, it all depends on what you want, vertical or horizontal, flip, Linux or android, wifi/bt, are achievements important to you, up to what system you’d like to play.

This seems to be a common issue for you. You may have to switch over to using retro devices like AYN, Retroid, Ayaneo as the sticks are easily user replaceable.

That one battery explosion is Retroid, so it’s like blaming Apple for using Samsung parts in their phones. And I think I’ve only seen one Thor hinge issue so far, and AYN replaced it. The Anbernic ones barely plays DS, with only an abandoned emulator, and maybe like two 3DS games, if you can even call it “playable”.
