Same here. We write “verzogen” on the envelope (because the letter has been a bad boy) and either leave it out on top of the letterbox or go throw it into a post collecting box.

Portugal, but they hate expats at this point because they got overrun by them in the last couple of years
A monarchy is a government form.
Monarchies can be anything from a parliamentary monarchy to an absolute monarchy, and yes there have been fascist monarchies as well - see WW2 Japan or Romania if I recall that correctly
Nice Minecraft shaders you use there!
Microw@lemm.eeto Fediverse@lemmy.ml•Has anyone thought about building a federated/imageboard-style alternative—something like a federated 4chan/8chan?2·2 months agoI wonder how their AP implementation works and if it is compatible with the threadiverse software in theory
Mastodon simply isn’t designed for discussions. It is designed to (micro)blog. People can react to your microblog, but if you’re not a well-known personality or your content isn’t relevant for the people who see your posts, that probably won’t happen.
What helps to build a followership on Mastodon is to regularly interact with people who post about similar things to your interests and who already have a big following. Then they might be inclined to know who you are, follow you and actually interact with your content/rebl9g it for their audiences.
Microw@lemm.eeto Fediverse@lemmy.ml•Has anyone thought about building a federated/imageboard-style alternative—something like a federated 4chan/8chan?101·2 months agoBro your AI summary is bullshit. You can absolutely take the lemmy software and set up a site that is run in a 4chan way.

!musicproduction@sh.itjust.works
I will argue against what others have said: don’t create another one specifically for your need. It will either end up being pretty dead or you’ll need to put a lot of energy into building it up.
So… Lemmy itself gives admins the possibility to see votes, but admins using this tool to see votes is a problem? Maybe I am misunderstanding something here?
Microw@lemm.eeto Fediverse@lemmy.ml•What's these software to interact with other fediverse softwares?8·2 months agoLemmy is programmed in a way so it actively looks for communities/groups. But not individual posters. which is why lemmy can only display mastodon and pixelfed individual posts if they have been posted into groups.
Microw@lemm.eeto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Mastodon cultural question - when should we use Favorite?8·3 months agoPoint number 1 for sure.
Favoriting/liking is especially a good thing to do with photo posts, as pixelfed emphasizes likes over boosts and I think a lot of photographers and artists appreciate likes more than your average poster.
I didn’t know that favourites factor into the trending algorithm. Good to know.

Microw@lemm.eeto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Why is my entire feed in this Lemmy server nothing but American politics and Reddit bashing5·3 months agoSucks for you if your only interest is sailing.
No, for real: I have subscribed to over 100 communities and my “subscribed” feed is always full of stuff.
Microw@lemm.eeto Fediverse@lemmy.ml•Does it make sense to cross post to most than one community to read the most people and contribute to Lemmy being active or is that spam?3·5 months agoTbh I’m parroting what others have told me, I’ not sure which clients do that
Microw@lemm.eeto Fediverse@lemmy.ml•Does it make sense to cross post to most than one community to read the most people and contribute to Lemmy being active or is that spam?14·5 months agoA lot of clients filter out the 2nd, 3rd… instance of crossposted posts in their main feeds, so only the first one gets shown. Therefore if I crosspost I do it the following way:
-
First post it in a small community. All people who are subscribed to this community will see the post in this community.
-
Then crosspost to a bigger community. Everyone not subscribed to the first small community will see the post in here.

Microw@lemm.eeto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Is this grammatically correct: "The monkey who I'm wondering if can see my ears."11·5 months agoThe sentence structure suggests that in OPs sentence the monkey is the subject and part of the sentence is missing.
Like for example,
“The monkey – I’m wondering if it can see my ears? – is eating a banana.”
Numatic shared the code you’d need to do most of this in another thread. So it should not be that hard to implement it in lemmy proper.
