2·6 months agoI have a TrimUi Brick Hammer.
Personally, it’s everything I need in a pocket device. The metal body makes it feel safe in my hands and my pocket, or wherever I put it down. The screen is incredible. Very crisp and good colour vibrancy. The downside people might have is no analog sticks. It’s d-pad and buttons / triggers. For me that’s perfect. If I’m emulating anything that requires a stick I a) don’t want a tiny stick and b) have a steam deck that can do it better. For an every day carry, the brick does it for me on all levels. Running minUi currently.
Apple and Onion
It’s hilarious for adults and kids.

1·8 months agoOh absolutely! I tried to make a career of an interest once before and it killed my passion for it. I would be devastated if that happened with my tech love.

6·8 months agoAs a kid, dad set me up on one of his spare dos/win3.1 PCs when he was working. The passion and learning never stopped from that point. Just not something I want to make a career of.

+1 for the gba Castlevania titles! They’re some of my favourites in the series. Yes even Circle of the Moon. Metroid Fusion always gets a revisit from me every few years. So does Zero Mission, it’s essentially super Metroid.
I’d also recommend the Sonic Advanced games. They’re all pretty fun, good level designs and artwork, and you can play as multiple characters.
