Sounds like a confidence issue. Why do you give a shit about other people? Like ---- at all.
If I am designing something in CAD the whole world falls away and before I know it, its 10 hours later. Just like coding. I couldn’t give a shit about anyone or anything during those moments. I am about to get into a new CAD design right now [and get the fuck off lemmy.] and will probably be at it all morning.
Why not 3d print? I’ve taught myself a ton of CAD and sm now learning surface modeling. When I’m ready for a CNC, I’ll be ready.
