Are you using any mods? First step would be to create a new instance in prism that is vanilla. Fire it up and see if it happens. If not, likely Mod related.

I heard of people using it on hobby projects.

Don’t know of any firm using it in production. Node.js never really had scale issues that needed addressing.

I’ve moved more towards deno recently. No real desire for bun on my end

It was a replacement for node.js and npm that was supposed to be faster and had other things built in like minifying and bundling iirc.

The bun saga of having AI do everything has been a fascinating horror show. Excited to see where it goes.

My fear is that this will change. We already saw LG load malware via windows when connected. So in theory future devices like Roku and Apple TV could act as a proxy for the tv.

If you enforce syntax instead of using natural language, then what you’re making is a programming language.

There are strategies to reducing hallucinations but you’re just kicking the can down the road. They will still happen.

The only true fix is human confirmation of output. This will always be the limit of LLMs

So LLM’s are basically fancy auto correct. You type a phrase and it guesses what comes next, based on training and weights, etc.

Hallucinations happen when the guess is wrong. And then you iterate on the wrong guess. So the initial guess can be minor, it can guess “how can I drive a car” instead of “how can I drive a tractor”. Which on its own is a small deviation, but after looping on that wrong guess, the outcome is much different.

This is a high level view but I hope it makes sense.

Yea the great weakness with LLM’s is that statistically a hallucination is inevitable. So its output always should be human verified.

Ai ceo’s would do great for a while. Then there’d be a single hallucination that would cause the company to fail and become insolvent.

You’re correct OP. I think the difficulty of modern times is multifaceted. A lot of other comments here speak to various parts of it these days, but I want to add one I’ve noticed related to this issue.

Pre mid-2000’s, technology worked for us. If you look at the hayday of tech (1980 thru early 2000’s), it seemed like every tech innovation was aimed at the consumer. The tech got better and we did too. The tech worked for us.

Nowadays (and I think I can see all this turning course around the time of the 2008 collapse), tech is not for us. The consumer has become the product, and tech is built around working through us instead of for us. Manipulating us instead of helping us. It sucks.

I have no doubt that if the washing machine was invented today instead of like ~100 years ago, they would be the size of car, and only installed in corporate offices. You’d have to go to an office to get your clothes washed. Consumer-level washers wouldn’t be a thing. They’d tie it to work like healthcare. It seems like no one is interested in making quality consumer devices. The consumer devices we do have are designed to become obsolete quickly without any repairability, so you buy another fast (i.e. all modern cars).

So yea, I think when you add this on top of everything else, it help explains what is amiss with life today. My 2c

I’m splitting hairs a lil bit - you’re pretty much correct. Minors are not citizens, so they don’t have rights. Minors are wards of the State. They under State protection, and as such don’t have the ability to forgo that protection, until they turn 18.
