It’s my kitten Simba snoring (ಥ ͜ʖಥ). I think this is my most cherished file ever. I don’t ever want to lose it if I can.
So if you’re willing to please download and preserve it, no pressure but every hour it’s stored means worlds to me. Also if anyone has some recommendations for a harder write-only preservation technology like magnetic tape or slicing the file and encoding it as QR codes laser etched into titanium wafers. Whatever’s attainable please, I’m willing to pay a lot.
Step one to preservation is not to upload it to sites that will use lossy compression to store the file.
If your goal is to ensure the video can be watched for as far into the future as possible you’re better off uploading to as many sites as possible, even if they aren’t stored at original quality.
