Recently, there has been an increase in automated bot responses to users.Word filters are used to filter users’ posts, and users are threatened with being banned.Reddit automatically removes content it dislikes, citing reasons like abusive language, and warns users that a second offense will result in a ban. This activity is particularly widespread in Middle Eastern countries. This reveals that Reddit is actively monitored by American intelligence services. So, news and commentary are being secretly censored. All posts are reviewed, and users are banned for violating Reddit’s policies.
Reddit used to be a great place, but it has now lost its original purpose of being a platform for free thought. It has now become a place where intelligence services are swarming.Videos and content related to the Middle East are being banned. User comments are being banned. Any idea that doesn’t originate from America is banned the moment it touches the platform. There’s no problem with people talking about anime, cats, dogs, or video games. But conversations about world politics, economics, and similar real-world topics are being monitored.
worldnews has long been openly censored, I was banned numerous times for saying that the US and NATO were arming, funding, training and supporting head-chopping, child-murdering, suicide-bombing jihadi militias, it’s widely known and proven true since the syrian president visited the whitehouse for tea and cake, trump called the leader of al-qaeda in syria an “attractive, tough guy” but it isn’t party politics at play, it’s western security policy, it has armed some of the most violent, murderous, manipulative groups in history and then blamed completely innocent muslims and islam when the root of jihadist violence is western security policy. Apparently you are not allowed to tell this to the world.
Sources and data would be interesting here. Even anecdotes.
Direct censorship is another tool along with narrative shaping which highlights some content and buries other content. It’s interesting to see that the same tools that make user generated content palatable for advertisers is also suitable for mass censorship.
This further highlights the need to ditch centralized corporate platforms and move to independent platforms
