I’m a little embarased to say–I mean I was a preteen boy at the time–but I spent way too many hours fantasizing and lusting over the picture of the Rogue class in the Diablo 1 manual.

Those pixelated succubus titties in the Hell stages were really something too. Kids today just don’t know how desperate we were for even a hint of nudity.

I was convinced, until the end of the game, there had to be some way to bring her back.
There was actually a method discovered relatively recently, which allows you to skip her death sequence entirely. Or rather, you force the death sequence to happen out of order, so she isn’t actually removed from your party when she should be. It’s obviously not intended, but it is possible to keep her alive. She doesn’t have any dialogue or cutscenes for the rest of the game, but it’s interesting that it’s possible.
