Title. Curious if I should get a Twitch account or not as currently I only have YouTube. Not sure if I want another corpo ad machine in my life.
YouTube. Twitch is cancer. Also you can rewind, start over, etc in the middle of a stream. You’re not going to miss anything.
Twitch is better for seeing the chat next to the video. YouTube is better to watch a stream that is in progress from the beginning.

Twitch. I figure their corporate masters are about equally evil, so if you really have to choose one you may as well go with the one that still has better discoverability, community, and chat. #AlternatePlayer makes it tolerable.
Currently twitch because there are the people, I like to see streaming their games.
I would prefer YouTube because no advertisements due to uBlock. I know there are twitch adblockers but they don’t work very well.
Also twitch seems to be filled with softcore/ lots of almost sexual content which I don’t want to see.
I don’t watch live streams. It’s the same concept like watching TV. I think YouTube and video on demand has been a great achievement.
Twitch is better for audience integration like what happens in dougdoug’s stream, and unless it’s some major event or well produced ttrpg I can’t be arsed to watch unedited content.
