I prefer “list” view over grid view. Switching to grid view shows six videos before the break, but significantly less information about the video.
I agree, the list view feels much better because it shows more useful details without making the page look crowded. Pushing subscriptions down for Shorts makes it harder to quickly find regular content from channels we follow. That’s one reason many users now visit platforms like TabooTube, where the focus stays more on creative videos and a cleaner viewing experience instead of constantly forcing short-form content everywhere.
uBlock Origin makes this easy:

I’m guessing Google will be kicking Ublock off the list as soon as it locks down.
I hate this format of content so much. An automatically reloading, never ending stream of snippets that are hardly informative even if they try. Fucking looks like they are trying to hypnotize us.
Oh wait, they absolutely are. Stop thinking about not being able to afford a living even though you bust your ass of everyday. Stop worrying about the climate. Get a new iphone and obediently watch citizen.
Funny, I don’t get any of those. I get “eat this plant, don’t eat this one”, “The evangelists didn’t exist”, “What would happen if we were all 2d”, “I made this glass goblet”, “Goebbels was a special kind of nasty”, etc.
