Meta has been up to no good for a while - always?

Is $1.4 trillion a reasonable amount for these cases? Who knows.

Is it reasonable compensation for all the evil they’ve done? I’d argue yes.

It’s essentially their entire market capitalization as a penalty.

Only the EU will ever give those kind of fines in that scale. In the US they will lobby (corrupt) their way out of it to get a symbolic slap on the wrist.

Or just make an AI post with Trump portrayed as God or something.

This fee sounds impactful. Unless he just doesn’t pay or get to pay it in a billion small rates …

And in the end, the users will have to pay for it. One way or another.

This fee is very impactful. If they are going to pay it.

How do you think users will pay for it?

IF they are going to pay…and at once, not 5937292 installments of 29,99.

Users will pay in the end like they always do: higher prices, less offerings, shittier products etc. Or another 1k employees get fired. Or 2k. Whatever happens, no billionaire ever will actually pay something themselves. They can even fuck kids and get away with it. See the USA and others…
