My issue is there doesnt seem to be a halfway point between what they offer and what I can conceive of that would mutually benefit both of us (a kind of partial situation) and I dont know if its safe to signal to them

Im not so worried about them terminating per se its more about continuity and not fucking myself over if its not a real or possible compromise that has been successfully negotiated previously
Theres an enormous amount of grey area so its a very weird situation
