For me it would have been buying the steam frame (but I am still in the waitlist). Also, I recently gotten into the 40k lore, but there is no way I can find the time and physical place to get into wargames.

So many fountain pens.
A new NAS.
A new keyboard (my wife took my mechanical board so maybe I’ll actually get this. The keyboard maxes at three simultaneous keys and it’s killing me).
Everything to make my basement game room a reality.
A desk (currently using a borrowed old folding table from the in-laws).
Several books (like the annotated Lord of the Rings).
Resin 3D printer.
Instead of any of those I’m saving for an anniversary gift for my wife and to replace our cutting board which is about to split.
I’ve been browsing thriftbooks.com for cheaper books to buy. It’s a clunky site with slow shipping but you can get good deals on lots of books.
Oh for sure. Thriftbooks and abebooks are my go-tos. It’s just $125 for a set of books is hard to justify when I’ve already got copies of other versions
Get something you like that can fit a JoWo #6 nib and just get a number of nibs and stick whatever nib type you need into said pen! That’ll cover a lot!
You can do this with most Lamy pens, too, which is where I wound up apparently by sheer happenstance. Do I have a $12 steel nib shoved into my Dialog right now beacuse Reasons? Why, yes I do. (If I sold its stock nib, which is currently safely tucked away in a box, I could probably use that to finance four or five new pens.)
Unfortunately I’m at the other end of the pen. I’ve got a dip pen with different nibs for that, just thicken the ink as needed.
I want to know how the different pens feel in my hand. I want to see their shiny lines on my desk. I want the magnetic click clack of a Monteverde Axis right next to the sleek and unique Pilot MYU.
