Peacock roasted in its own feathers. Beer made of sulphuric acid. Bread leavened with hydrochloric acid. 144 recipes printed in earnest in real cookbooks between 1831 and 1929. Please do not make any of them.
What stood out to me more was just the design of the website. A human could have made it of course, but there’s a lot of little design things you pretty much always see in LLM-generated websites.
I did do some more searching before I posted that comment though. What I found way more damning, is what you see when clicking through to the parent company or something (they’re not actually companies afaict, not sure what they are instead).
The website of this Lazarus Library also heavily smells like AI slop to me. Searching the parent company listed on that website leads to a trademark for “PhotoOpAI”.
These are parts of their statements found here:
Downloadable computer software using artificial intelligence (AI) for providing information (…) based upon a photo of the item or object
Providing on-line non-downloadable software using artificial intelligence (AI) for use in taking photos of items and objects and providing information
it is slop. the inspiration might be real but the sites are generated trash.
i did the same thing. scroll down. project of ‘lazarus library’. quick web search says they are ‘PhotoOpAI’ out of austin tx. another search says they have numerous similar sites pulling text from old books and wrapping it around clicks and ads. i quit digging when i saw they all used the same identifying tags when calling their ad/tracking scripts
