This is a very solid alternative to Google’s keyboard, the only issue is that it’s not European.
The PrivaScore Project provides ratings for Keyboard Apps, and there are multiple options in the top tier.
A truly open alternative would be Heliboard:
https://github.com/Helium314/HeliBoardEDIT: one possible issue with HeliBoard is that swype input relies on an external closed-source library that needs to be downloaded and installed manually.
I’ve been using it since I read this comment. I think I like it more than AnySoftKeyboard. And they’ve started gathering data to create open-source swipe lib https://makertube.net/w/cQECfDkuLGR9eUQquUEo4K
Futo are apparently a somewhat shady company, so do your own research and if you don’t like what you find check out Heliboard, Florisboard or Fossify Keyboard (all on Fdroid) to name a few.
