How do glasses work? If I took a magnifying glass to burn it from the sun. How come the same thing doesn't happen to my eyes even just staring up at the sun for 5 sec?

Don’t look at the sun for any amount of time, with or without glasses. You only get one pair of eyes, please take care of them.
