This is a really great use of LLM! Seriously great job! Once it’s fully self-hostable (including the LLM model), I will absolutely find it space on the home server. Maybe using Rupeshs fastdcpu as the model and generation backend could work. I don’t remember what his license is, though.
Edit: added link.
Ah, you meant phone of the time. I thought you meant phones throughout time. Like, today’s Pixel 9 compared to the N95. That sort of thing.
Yeah, you’re right. Back then, it was all marketing and storefront locks. That’s it.
And the flagship iphone of today is lower specs than its direct android competitor. But, then again, that’s how apple seems to operate: lowest possible specs, highest possible marketing, beautiful (debatable, I know) UI… and locked storefront.
It’s also better specs that some software and security processes require, but yeah, it’s mostly marketing and it sucks.
No lol I just channeled my inner 90s hahahaa
I almost got the N95 back in the day, bit it didn’t work with my provider. This project is hella wicked
Came to ask the same question. A while back, someone had a semi-solution for fighting CSAM on Lemmy. Maybe you can implement a similar method on your network.
That makes sense. Thanks for the input!
Krita looks more like a drawing and animation solution, whereas GIMP is an editing / manipulation solution. Or can Krita be used as an editor, too? I’m going to download later and give it a shot, but just wanted your opinion so I have better expectations.
Ohhh! Cool! Thanks!
What’s a Spirit Level?
Edit: ? Didn’t get sent over
Is it? I just thought they were proud of their state. Honestly, I don’t blame them. It’s nice being in love with your state. I always thought that was cool.
It is very common. Actually, I don’t think I’ve heard it as anything else. It’s still weird to me hahaha
Very true. I added context as you commented. I’m not putting you down for it. It’s the term that makes most sense. It’s just weird. Not wrong or dumb or stupid or anything else insulting. It’s just a weird term to use, even though it’s the one that makes most sense. I honestly meant no disrespect or offense. I actually like USA and its people (I mean, there are crazies everywhere, but they don’t define the rest of you). I genuinely apologize if I offended you. Seriously, mate, I meant no offense at all.
Edit: clarity
What shoes are those? Those are dope
To name a few:
Calling yourself Americans, after the entire dual continent. There are two continents and many other countries in the Americas, you know… [I know you know. And, what are you supposed to call yourselves, ‘USAians’? ‘Americans’ makes more sense and is easier to roll off the tongue. But it’s weird.]
Holding the door open for me. Smiling at me on the street. Those are sure signs of a swindler, but it’s the norm in the USA. [I am not suggesting USA folks are swindlers, only that those actions are what swindlers in much of the world use. USA people are generally super nice and a genuine pleasure to be around.]
Turning right on red light. Red means stop. It’s weird and confusing.
Edit: I added a third thing.

No ether needed. All you need is to do this publically.
If she’s well enough to consent to this, have her consent. Then install the cameras in such a way that her privacy is not eroded. For example, camera A only sees the door into the room, camera B only sees the night stand, camera C only sees the wardrobe. That sort of thing. Then instruct her to always keep her valuables in a location where at least one camera can monitor.
I saw the name, and immediately thought, “sweet! Another kde tool!” Then finished reading the title lol Looks like a good editor nonetheless
Edit: requires access to manage storage, which is excessive for a text editor. Pretty sure it has to do with its other features, which is fine, but I don’t feel comfortable with this type of access for any third party app. If you’re fine with this access, Xed/Karbon really looks useful. I might add it to my coding tablet.
