Too expensive.
Too expensive.
I returned to my hometown to handle the passing of my grandfather. I didn’t call my friend, who I had known since preschool, to go hang out. In reality I didn’t give a single thought to contacting anyone I knew – I had family to take care of. He felt insulted by that and chose to never speak to me again.
If this sounds completely illogical, I can assure you I’m just as baffled as you.
I was once asked why I don’t participate in anti-war demonstrations. I said that I will never do that, but as soon as you have a pro-peace rally, I’ll be there.
Yes, I know Mother Theresa isn’t well liked, and for good reason, but I like this quote. It shows you how framing your words and actions can impact how they are perceived by others. It makes you think.
This. Women are already literally dying. The first woman (that we know of) to die from the abortion ban happened within just 20 days – before SCOTUS even heard the case that overturned Roe. And her story is a painful, heartbreaking read.
Plus, does nobody remember immigrant families being ripped apart? Kids put in cages? Their “family ID” being – whoops – deleted from the database so they couldn’t be reunited with their parents?
But sure. Life will go on like normal.

I’ve had the same pair (different brand than linked) for many years and they have held up great. It’s crazy how often they come in handy, and my SO asks to borrow them all the time too. They are extremely small and nearly weightless. Highly recommended.
Edit: Found the exact brand I have. True Utility. Not sure if it’s worth the slightly higher price since it’s the only ones I’ve ever had – can’t compare. But again, they’ve held up great for many years.
As a non-gamer, I’ll take the pixels every time.
Vivaldi (chromium) fully supports gestures and happens to have the best tab management on the market. Highly recommended.
In all fairness, my usage is still minimal at this point. I’ve only searched a couple of times, but the thing I needed popped right up. Maybe my experience will change over time.
I’ve been an Airmail (Mac) user for many years now. But it’s been really buggy lately and there’s no motivation to fix the issues apparently. So I switched to Thunderbird about a month ago after a lot of research. It’s … ok.
Again, I might be missing some settings to correct some of these issues, so take it all with a grain of salt. But these are my takeaways after about a month of usage.
Left side of my bed collapsed while mid-coitus (cheap MDF bed, not raucous sex). Missionary, so we just rolled softly off the mattress and onto the floor. Paused briefly as we both processed what had just happened, then laughed and continued.
