Wow, that giant comb is a really cool feature for a home. It must save so much time getting ready, not having to do that by hand

But yes, thanks. That clarifies what you’re trying to do

I can confidently say: maybe or maybe not. I really think you have too much context in your head and not here
Sisyphus. I’ve spent my life pushing this huge boulder up the hill but never quite achieving anything. It’s getting really old. Next time it rolls to the bottom I’m tempted to leave it there
I’ve read articles with such claims, but not really reputable sources.
However I like the idea of the timer ones where in theory you could have the bed preheated for you, but never be in it when it’s on.
Because of those articles, I just got rid of my black plastic utensils, but I’ve been using them over a decade so if they were contaminated, it’s probably too late
UV is good at breaking down plastics ….
Mine is one of my most non-stick surfaces and usually wipes clean with a paper towel
…. Now that I’ve been trying to move away from teflon
There’s probably an element of “read the room”. I’m open to trying something new or different to me, have enjoyed many meals that happen to not include animal products, and will be offended if you let me be a bad host by lack of communication. But I certainly know all too many fellow carnivores who will be offended at the mere mention
Could even be as simple as a savings account. We’re all used to those paying a negligible amount of interest but there are a few high yield ones that may be worth it.
I started keeping more of my emergency fund in savings once I found a high yield choice, although it just dropped to 4.1% so I don’t know. These may have more constraints when you’re just starting though ……
But I really wanted to stress the above point of automatic savings. It’s really helped me to not spend, when I automatically put a little aside so it’s not even in my checking account to spend. Forced savings.
I always keep Lunch in my backpack at my desk or eat in a cafeteria. The best way to be chill about a problem is to avoid having the problem.
Maybe kids are too short sighted to see the risk, but who says they don’t do that? Among the stupid things I did as a kid was try to turn any tube into a gun/cannon/firework mortar, and hold it in my hands to aim and launch. We even had the benefit of my grandfather losing a couple fingers as a cautionary tale, that we completely ignored. If something happened, could you really call that an accident?
Or the time we were playing with fireworks …. In a barn full of dry hay? I don’t know how my grandfather let us live after that one
…… but there’s a threshold of stupidity where you really can’t call it an accident. I’m happy to have survived in one piece all too many bouts of stupidity but the adult me wouldn’t call it an accident if something happened
As a grandmom, my Mom has decided on boxes for really lame gifts that might make you wonder if she has dementia, for gift cards.
If you don’t give her sufficient ideas for her to buy you something you enjoy, you’re a Scrooge and deserve this box of instant jello …… containing a gift card so you can get it yourself
Too old to understand why you’re asking about American Sign Language
I his whole idea is awfully reminiscent of a certain political party insisting ACA is bad and needs to be repealed? Why? It’s bad? What are you going to do instead? We have a concept.
I’m not necessarily disagreeing with the idea but yes there needs to be something do do with criminal offenders as either punishment or protecting civilization from repeat offenders. There needs to be some way for offenders to regret their actions or some opportunity to re-think their choices. Reforming civilization to address those who are in actual need is the first step, as is redirecting away from prison where you can, but it’s nowhere near sufficient. Way too many criminals are actual criminals
If those are valid substitutes for prison and they do exist, then why does prison still get the bulk of the offenders? I’m all for your idea but reality seems to be proving those solutions do not apply to most cases of criminal justice
I thought I read about this for real a while back? In a bid to make plastic decay faster, make it out of cellulose with embedded bacteria that can break it down. It still happens too slowly for most plastic packaging
I believe Shiva is the guy who spent years insisting he invented email as a high schooler and that pretty much the entire online world owes him patent fees. I’m one of many old enough to have used email before this patent troll “invented” it
I’m sure they know, but maybe this is word drift or shorthand for “harmful chemicals”. That’s a lot more plausible than literally turning “literally” into its opposite
“Beloved” in so many articles. Yes I tend to use a specific browser. No, it is not and never will be “beloved”.
That word is so jarring most of the time and seems to be everywhere online in the last two years. I can only assume it’s some sort of SEO, trying to convince Google it’s a personal article or something. I hope to god it’s not ai assuming that’s what attracts our attention
I’m not an expert so was hoping a little discussion here would encourage one to speak up. However I thought I remembered a thread discussing some vertical distance above and below where the drain horizontal joins the vent, however I didn’t find anything like that.
