Really, though?
I’m a dude in Oregon. I regularly make bad life decisions and do not make a habit of learning from my mistakes.

Really, though?

Flagrant acts of racism.
Portland pretends to be better than that, but I keep having casual reminders that we’re really white-coded. A black guy walks into the liquor store at 10:00 am and both the women behind the counter have a collective sense of panic when I’m walking up to check out. There was nothing off about him. They just had some immediate sense that he intended harm. The one checking me out said, under her breath, “oh, I thought we were getting robbed”.
It was obvious the dude noticed their reaction, and it made me feel fucking horrible.

Why do you ask so many leading questions?

A lot of furries are intrigued by the mating behaviors of other species but are met with the Puritanical guilt of society. There’s something innately and intriguingly animalistic (by definition I guess) about how other creatures breed , and there’s a romanticism in being knotted together if you’re a dog. I’ve heard other people have the adjacent sentiments about cats in that there can be multiple males contributing to the litter. People find and live out niche kink ideas from everything. Some people want to kinkshame, and there are a lot in the furry community, though they tend to be the early 20’s uncomfortable-with-themselves folk.
But I just jerk off to gross femdom porn.
A tail is like a necktie for your butt.

As much as we all hate it, it’s better to say it than to hold onto it and keep a partner in thrall. Regardless of timing. HOW you go about it might be a different thing, but telling them your wants and intentions is human decency.
There are some cases where there’s a balanced zen to it. Take the Dark Souls series. It’s rewarding not because you accomplished a task, but because you overcame a seemingly impossible obstacle, which can feel very rewarding. I’m on a level 1 run of Elden Ring, and it’s profoundly punishing, but I’m halfway through the expansion, and seeing my progress fills me with joy.
