My husband recently found this gem of a cooking channel that we both love. Chef Jean Pierre He’s hilarious and the food looks amazing.

Planet Crafter Humble DLC and TCG Card Shop Simulator. The Humble DLC is still a bit buggy but it’s nice having a new planet to explore. I’ve paused playing Card Shop Simulator until the developers smooth out the XP grind a bit more.
I think my first late night tv adventure was seeing Akira and having absolutely no idea what was going on.
I previously had an LG Stylo and now I have a Motorola G stylus. I love both of them. The stylus is kind of thin but it’s stored in the phone. I use the notepad pretty frequently so having a phone with a stylus is a must have for me.
Okay I don’t really like Cradle of Filth but my husband does. But I really really like their cover of Iron Maiden’s “Hallowed Be Thy Name.” Somehow the cover has more energy than the original.
Canned chicken over rice is my favorite poor food. Usually I mix the chicken with mayo and spread it over rice cakes. One can to 3 rice cakes is a full meal.
Old Bay in home made hamburger mix. Only do it if you’re using an 80/20 mix because the flavor stands out too much if you use lean hamburger.

I’ve got a rice cooker that old enough to rent a car. My MIL bought me a newer one a few years back and it’s still in the box. I just like my old reliable one better.
I’m pretty cheap and it took a lot of justification to spend triple digits on a high quality pillow.
One of those stupid expensive real down feather pillows. I spoiled myself one year for my birthday and only wish I had done it sooner. I go to bed every night and thank myself for getting that pillow.
Mine is leading a revolt in my bird room right now. This is what I have every morning instead of coffee.
My African grey Bert constantly surprises me with his intelligence. My personal favorite was the time he was trying to get the cat’s attention. He’d been muttering, whistling, and dancing in the cat’s direction for about 15 minutes and finally yelled “Why don’t you f-ing talk?” I don’t think he believed me when I told him the cat can’t talk.
Theranos went down because Holmes was trying to run the same tired start-up scam all the big boys pull but within the confines of the medical industry. She would have succeeded if she had picked something non medical. The FDA doesn’t fuck around. If Elon thinks he’s smart enough to pull the same shit he’s going to “find out” too.
I like science and Mander has a lot of neat science communities. I also keep a back up account for Lemmy.world.
I had surgery back in 2015. I spent four days in a high care unit even though I was a routine case. The time was right after the Minions move came out. My husband got me a stuffed Bob that says goofy stuff when you squeeze it. I made every person who came in my room stop and squeeze that toy just to break the tension and get the workers to smile. Nursing is hard and you have to take joy wherever you can get it.
I really feel like everyone is letting their emotions and ideologies run the narrative here. Lemmy.world was already defederated with Hexbear, everyone was. What they are doing is choosing to remain defederated once Hexbear federates. And that is perfectly within their rights. Until we get better moderation tools and the ability block instances at the user level I can completely understand why the admin and mods don’t want to deal with potential issues. Maybe once we all have better tools then we can try playing nice together. This is the same reasoning Beehaw took and I think it makes sense in this case as well.
Invest in anything that comes between you and the ground; shoes, mattress, and tires.
I’m one of those people that’s switched skill sets and jobs multiple times. It’s great for me because I love learning new things and using the new things I’m learning as it applies to the current job I’m doing. But there is a disadvantage to this in that recruiters don’t know what the hell to do with you and bosses are always suspicious that you will jump ship at the drop of a hat. The ones who do take a chance and hire me have always been happy with my work though.
