Ahh, that’s a difference, I’m talking about the USA. They took out a lot of those classes for more of the core curriculum.

The schools in my area don’t offer it anymore or technical classes. It’s just the core subjects essentially. I’ll admit surprise to hearing a school still does in the past ten years.

I had a mom who was able to pass the basics of cooking down as well as home ec. classes. We’ve done a major disservice to the younger folks by not offering such classes honestly. Learning how to read recipes, basics of cooking, knowing when food is good to eat, etc. is a highly useful skill even now.

Even with socialism the use of currency is a useful tool for allowing people to acquire what they need then what they want. Capitalism as we know it now and how it has been needs to fall but that doesn’t mean there isn’t some usefulness to be gained from it. And there will be a huge transition period as well that will likely take a couple generations to then start rotating away from capital being desirable.

The answer is that we shouldn’t have most social media to begin with and parents need to actually fucking parent their kid’s usage. Social media is just the television replacement.

Same here. I’m always happy to learn but it’s impossible to keep up on so many topics all at once.

I’m old enough that I wouldn’t be surprised if new data came out and I just never saw it to be honest. It was taught in my middle school science class, which was almost 30 years ago.

I always thought cybernetics would be cool. I forgot they’d come from companies like HP that have a subscription service for them and if you don’t pay it they take it back.

Agreed here. People should wonder what normal life like can be in the USA than our politics. Not saying it’s great, but I think it gives better insight than who people voted for.
