Thinking about making the move from Pop!_OS. Pop has been good, and it’s not like I need to be on the latest thing, but it’s still on Gnome 42 I think. Pop is starting to feel a bit long in the tooth.

I’ve been running Pop!_OS for a few years now on my laptop and about a year on my gaming PC. I’ve been very happy with it. Even microsoft Flight Simulator works perfectly. I’ve built a win 10 VM in virtual box for the few pieces of software I can’t get going on Linux (old garmin GPS software and some ham radio programming software).
game developers and publishers are hesitant to enable Linux compatibility,
And I am hesitant to spend money on their games.
Pepperridge farms remembers
“250 symmetrical”, but my router usually reports around 270ish each way. Recently moved somewhere with fiber to the home.
Previously the cable co I was with kept sending notifications that they had “upgraded” my service. I went from like 100mbps down to like 300 down with them, but they never changed the 10mbps up…
I haven’t tried the alpha. Maybe I’ll spin up a VM later.
Its just feeling a little old. Missing out on newer features and more modern looking ui. Nothing critical, just nice to have.
