Yes, exactly. I lived in a collapsing society as a child and mostly life goes on, it just gets harder and there are less luxuries.

Cursed child, even.
I really like my water pillow.
The problem I have with the concept of a conscious soul that survives my death is the question what version of me survives. If it’s the version I was when I died, the younger versions of me still stay dead. If it’s an ideal younger version of me, the older version still died. In fact, the soul would always only be a part of me since it lacks the biochemical processes of the body. So it would be another entity possessing my memories but it wouldn’t be me, I’d still be dead.
There is a sequel, it’s called “This book is full of spiders, seriously dude don’t touch it”. If you are refering to the movie, a sequel would just be the second half of the first book.
Reminds me of that South Park episode.
“Hey, poor people, we have the cure for Parkinson’s, it’s gold! Hurray!”
A lot of people are having a hard time right now. Try to be the change you want to see and react kindly and rationally would be my advice.
Oh, an Ood! Love an Ood!
That’s not Hello Kitty, that’s Pinhead at prom.
Oh it’s definitely a combination of his high heels and burger gut, probably his adult diaper too.
Also his weird centaur stance. https://twitter.com/ThePoke/status/1199777411111538689
Mistborn by Brandan Sanderson.
Conan O’Brien. He’s just effortlessly funny, especially when he’s just riffing with Sona and Matt on “Conan O’Brien needs a friend”.
I thought superheroes were real and all lived in New York. To be fair, it was my only contact with Western culture.
In the movies I would say when Worf went into Klingon puberty in Star Trek: Insurrection and got a giant pimple in his face that everybody was making fun of.
As great as it is, you could tell they had to cramp two season’s worth of story into the second season so that it felt very rushed and important side characters died off screen. And then of course the sets burned down ironically, making any continuation impossible.
He has pretty much always been almost a caricature of a horrible boss.
As a German, I’m happy it worked out so well for you! Glad to have you in our country, it’s not perfect but we’re trying!
