Anecdotally, a friend went fully blind at 36 in the mid-80s from eye drops tampered with lye. It sucked in ways I could never have imagined. Her whole world fell apart.
However, her learning to navigate the world and getting visually oriented descriptions from others was easier because she had a preexisting frame of reference. We’ve had this discussion numerous times and she was always thankful she had sight for as long as she did.
So if you write a bunch of words with the Latin alphabet and stack them vertically as a sentence, is that a closer representation of East Asian writing?

Not just cosmetic, I believe it’s used to treat migraines and possibly other issues. Crazy stuff.

“Enjoy” - not sure I’m quite feeling that way.

Bluegrass dobro playing.

Read a book on Libby (library app).

I want to upvote so badly, but it’s at 69… so… beautiful.
OMG thank you - brain fart on my part!
Denver was two cities - Auraria (correction from Aurora thanks to @negativenull) and Denver. One was built to align with the river, the other with compass points and then they grew big enough to smush into each other and neither was willing to concede to the other.
Also Denver’s namesake, a Kansas politician, never even visited. It was a failed attempt to lure him here.

I feel like hella was the west coast version of wicked.

Grody to the max.

I seem to recall hearing Brennan Lee Mulligan saying it quite a bit in Dimension 20 and it made me giggle.

Does this stem from the Valley Girl trend of the 80s?

Any particular type of beans? Red? Black? Lentils?
Does the type of rice matter?
I’m intrigued by this possibility.

Troll 2
There’s even a documentary about how bad it is.

I have no idea what I just watched, but I would date her.

First day in the dorms at college I see a name tag next to a door that says “Shithead” and thought what a mean joke to play! Turns out her name was shi-thee-ad. Rest of the year she was Thea.
Also worked with a woman named “Noname” (no-nam-ay) and apparently that gave her all sorts of trouble on official forms.
To add to the good advice you’ve already been given… say the compliment and then let it go. Move on, change topic, whatever. The worst is when guys (or anyone) gives me a compliment and expects that to be an “opening” to a dialogue or flirting. If someone says a compliment (even if slightly awkward), but then genuinely moves on and just lets the compliment land on its own, that’s a pretty good indicator that’s all it was.
