Oh yeah, I’m realizing this late but I’ve got a feeling you might like twists on the magical girl genre like Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku. Puella Magi Madoka Magica was among the first and is all a fan favourite, but it’s not the one I like the most.

Mangaka. Author.
Akagi is a mahjong manga. It assumes you know mahjong from the beginning. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you really like the game. I barely made it 6 pages into the manga after someone gifted me a volume for Japanese practice.
If you want to see a lighter take on gambling, maybe Kakegurui or No Game No Life.
If you want death game stuff, maybe Btooom!. Mirai Nikki is also a classic in the same vein. Much more over the top would be the Fate series (Fate Stay Night, Fate Unlimited Blade Works, Fate Zero, etc.) Much less intense but still enjoyable was Death Parade. And we’re getting pretty far from the theme but theoretically Sword Art Online checks the death game box; reviled by true connoisseurs 🍷, I still think it’s plenty enjoyable if you don’t think about it too deeply.
If you’re looking for something in the “psychological” category, I can recommend Psycho-Pass for something serious with action, Oshi no ko for something serious with drama ,or Kaguya-sama wa kokurasetai! for a lighter take.
Get a Nintendo console. Nintendo Games are absolutely a gateway drug. They’re high quality and generally very easy to get into.
It’s not just that the input data is crap. Mostly the issue is that an LLM is a glorified autocomplete. The core of the technology is making grammatically correct sentences. It has no concept of facts or logic. Any impression that it does is just an illusion borne of the word probabilities baked in.
LLMs are a remarkable example of brute-forcing a solution to a problem, but it’s this same brute force that makes me doubt it’ll ever reach the next level.
I’m a woman and I was born in the 1990s. I do live in North America though.
When people use “different” with a preposition other than “from”. (Different to, different than)
I know it’s not technically wrong, but it just feels so wrong.
Also, when people add a phantom R between two words. “I’m a big fan of cinema ‘r’ and video games.”
Both stem from me not being a native English speaker, I think.
That’s a small thing?
I live in Canada, where eggs need to be refrigerated, and yet I’ve never seen a fridge with an egg holder. I already have an egg holder. The box they came in.
I may be missing something, but why can’t you have the bank account and phone number both in Lebanon?
In a ranked choice system or other better voting system, yes.
In the current system, voting for anyone but the least bad choice among the two that stand a chance is almost like giving your vote to the one that has the best chances, regardless of your preferences.
Look up the spoiler effect in elections.
Or, CGP Grey has an excellent explanation of the whole thing.
That is not the question. The question is: it’s a binary choice. People should be aware that not voting helps the worst candidate win. Why not vote for the less bad candidate then?
Omelet composed of >60% frozen vegetables and seasoned with soy sauce.
It doesn’t hold itself together at all and it looks disgusting.
I’ve got a feeling we’ll see Bush v. Gore style recount shenanigans or worse. Trumpist “stop the steal” people have begun to infiltrate the election process, right?
Windows. Can’t be arsed to deal with Linux.
I’ve tried it. There were three issues:
Yeah I wish they were still adding new features and stuff. But I haven’t found a better alternative yet, so I guess that’s what we have.
Unified Remote. It’s a little janky, but it does you to turn your phone into a trackpad and/or keyboard for your phone. It works with swipe typing, and allows you to use keyboard shortcuts such as Alt+Tab or Win+Shift+Arrow.
Truly the best way I’ve found of using my PC from my couch.
Look for other advice for repairing them, but making your couch feet bigger and softer with tennis balls or felt should prevent it from worsening.
