That has its drawbacks too though, federating with many, many instances will eventually cause strain.
I do want more growth via instances, but imo it’s more like a double edge sword than the salvation of a platform.

Don’t expect perpetual growth from the fediverse for one good reason:
It would cost more money.
Lemmy is self hosted and there are people who use their own personal money to host these things and have a certain amount of activity.
Doubling the users would double the cost but it would not double the usefulness for the instance owner.
I wish this is how Gotham knight ended, like a bad ending the use can chose.
Looks fun to climb
Wow, you found a more cursed version.
Would be a good team up with captain hindsight.
CEOs and all management suite are mostly useless except for making the business worse for the employees and customers for the sake of investors.
Most employees are perfectly fine with slow and steady growth instead of maximizing it.
The trick is enjoying mundane tasks or the simple things like your walk to work.
Reminding myself that even though times are crazy, as I get older more and more of my life is in my control. So even though things might seem like they are getting worse, with a focus on self improvement and a humble, healthy schedule, things could get progressively better; hopefully that can spillover to people around me.
On that note, I hope OP is having a great day :D
The AI had no choice in producing that, you had a choice of posting this.
Imo the fediverse should stay away from the Twitter format, following people is not a good way to do social media.
Isn’t it Twitter before musk?
I remember the olden days when people said Twitter was shit and it wasn’t intentionally bad.
Oh wow, I was wrong, we are close to AGI.

Been feeling some FOMO about the books, FOMO gone!
You should use the Internet to get info out of it, not put your info there. If you do want to put info, it should never be traceable to you.
I just don’t get why people want so much of their life online…
I was looking for this, thank you for your service!

Linux was invented and the concept of open web and right to your own hardware, although that could change.
