Yeah, I’m mostly answer the “how do you start” portion more so than the “how do you stay motivated” part, which is what you’re referring to I think

Follow the dopamine. Go on a Wikipedia binge and don’t feel bad about it because at least it’s better than TikTok. Watch educational YouTube videos, and when you get 10 seconds into it and think “this guys an idiot” you just keep making fun of him and fact-checking stuff.
First, get a surface level understanding so that you know enough about it to actually do proper research. If it really really piques my interest, the rest of the path will form naturally

Sudden shatter happens when something is heated or cooled so quickly that parts of it expand or constrict at different rates. Since the larger thermal mass of the thicker glass will spread the heat more, it won’t heat up as quickly, thus reducing the chance of a sudden shatter. It may well reach the same temperature, but doing so over a longer period is still safer

More panes = more mass. More mass = lower average temperature. Lower average temperature = less chance of sudden cracks or shattering

I’ll never afford one
A cheap E bike meant for the city only costs about 2 tanks of gas

My mom and I are currently in the midst of one of these back-and-forth battles lol, but it’s been a few weeks and I think I managed to get her to keep the $20!

What you’re referring to is called the P vs NP problem, and you’ve got it backwards. The problem is basically “does having an easily verified answer mean that there is also an easy to FIND the answer” and all the evidence we have so far points to no, but we aren’t sure.
This is the entire concept behind cryptology - it’s easy to verify you have the correct key, because if you have the correct key you can decode the message and it isn’t gibberish. It is not, however, easy to figure out what the key is from the encrypted text.

The problem isn’t the color scheme by itself. The problem is that there are 350,000 houses identical to this one all over the country. It’s soulless because they turned them all into cookie cutter copies of each other

Bot swarms use VPNs to hide the individual behind it. Created a bad name for VPNs, so now individuals who care about their privacy get the short end of the stick

No. Regression to a bartering system would still be regression. Imagine a better world, not a previous world.

“autocorrect” AI glorified autocorrect…

To put it more generally, corporations are people when it’s good to be a person, but not when it’s bad to be a person

I usually have a coat of some sort on and just open it with my hand in my pocket

“Give everything you can, but never anything you need.”
I try to live by this. I give away every extra dollar, and help people every chance I get

The pope doesn’t like AI, brandished a sword and called people idiots. More at 11

Every now and then it occurs to me that people can just openly and proudly be hateful and it disgusts me

Akshually, Puerto Rico votes pretty regularly to see if the people want independence, statehood, or to remain a colony. Last voted on in 2024
I wonder how much of the heat coming from the treadmill is electrical and how much of it is biological
