That is a really good one. Because you can’t stop it, but a comfortable temperature is always comfortable.

My knees. I am past 30, and my knees somehow don’t want to bend anymore.
On the other hand the older I get, the smarter I get about life. Do some physical activity on a regular basis, keep some long term goals in mind, don’t let your emotional state depend on external factors.
Find balance in your life and know your limits and you will be all right.
Why not, it will definitely reduce the amount of sick people. Because they are dead of course, but still.
Joking obviously.
It was because he went to the changing rooms to change his pants. So he was away from work like maybe 10 minutes.
Yes you should switch jobs. But make sure you have a good answer when they ask you why. You don’t want to talk bad about your current employer to your possible new employer.
So find a positive way to describe why you are changing jobs. What are you looking for, what skills and area’s do you want to grow in? This is important. Don’t get hung up on your current job, find something new that you like doing and focus on your personal growth and career.
What is your experience you gained at your current job? Anything special that you archieven? You need to have an answer to that for your future employer. You don’t need to lie, but you need to prepare for some questions.
I worked in a glasshouse for a while. Since everything is glass, and the temperature is pretty high, the new guy went to change his pants from long ones to short ones. The son of the boss, who just started recently, decided he did not like it and fired him on the spot.
I thought it was really stupid. Unfortunately there was no talking him out of it. The guy was hard to work with, and part of the reason I quit that job later.
Well, that is one of the typical things I would start thinking about when I am there… If I could go back it would be epic to do this. If not, I’ll skip, thank you very much.
Was there every a better moment to see if you can ride a T-rex? See the dinosaurs walk the earth, experience the wild nature that must have been around back then. I bet we don’t know about a lot of the amazing things from that time.
Of course you would have a hard time trying to survive, but it would be cool. Dangerous, but cool.
He’s proud of you. It’s a dad thing, trust me.
What is the point if you cannot trade it to other people? How are you supposed to make money by trading then?
I work in a warehouse of a company that sells a pretty huge variation of products. I drive fork lifts on a regular basis, but my work is about 50% computer work too. But not in the office, my computer is in the warehouse.
I used to be a computer programmer, but being in the office all day drives me nuts. I need to be a little bit more active and I also like to change my view every now and then.
We have basically no downtime, there is always something to do, we are understaffed, the new hires don’t have a clue so all the work comes to the experiences workers. We are also trying to change some processes but we barely have the time.
So for me, the question was just really weird, I cannot imagine having nothing to do. I don’t even know what I would do if I have nothing to do. Probably take the day off or something…
Well that is when I am at work. My work times are clearly defined and when the time is over, I go home. So I am limited to about 8 hours in a day, with a very rare exception of 15 minutes longer.
After work and in the weekends I still have time to chill, but at work I have no downtime except for breaks. Luckily my boss also knows how busy we are and doesn’t complain if I cannot get everything finished, he just tells me what is a priority and what not.
That is really helpful for the stress levels, but it is still a pretty stressful job.
You guys have time for other things? I do my job and can fill my day with that. I sometimes have to stand my ground to make other people understand that no, I cannot do this additional tasks everyday, I don’t have the time for that.
95% of the time it is busy. The other 5% I use to catch up with the stuff I have no time for when it is busy.
Just commenting to say you cannot simply lower the water temperature. If you go too low there is a risk of legionella and nobody wants that. So please, before you lower your water temperature, do some research.
I believe 60 degrees is basically the lowest you can go safely. Different sources seem to indicate that.
Burning plywood or MDF is not recommended. The glue could release some toxic fumes.
Pretty weird that you have to pay anything at all. In my country my boss would not be happy, but he cannot make me pay for that.
First I was like wow, then I started to count how many zero’s there came afterwards. Ouch that hurts.
Shoot for getting about 70% right. That is about where the rest of the world ends up too. And the world is still turning. No need to drive yourself nuts doing the impossible.
That is actually pretty funny.
I was outside on concrete with grass on the side of it and forgot to put the hand brake in. I step off, just to see the truck roll into the grass with the back wheel. Luckily the concrete the truck was on was high enough to stop the truck when one wheel was on the grass.
The truck was stuck now. Driving forward didn’t work, pulling did not work. In the end we pushed a piece of pipe under it with hammers on both sides and that was enough to lift the back of the truck high enough that I could drive it forward again.
Still sucked though. I never forgot the hand brake again. Also did not get fired, that is never really an option for employers here.
