Banned for a stupid reason from Reddit. I made a joke that a mod from r/entertainment didn’t like and got banned. I kept accidentally commenting on the subreddit because I often comment on posts without checking subreddit. Even though I had muted and blocked r/entertainment it kept popping up on my feed because it’s a general subreddit. Got banned from Reddit for trying to circumvent the ban.

I honestly mean no offense when I say this and I hope you don’t take it wrong but you need to be seeing a therapist for your anxiety. This is nothing to be ashamed of and talking to someone trained to handle it will help you overcome it.

I was able to grow out of it but it took me decades to find myself and be comfortable with who I am. If I could go back I would have been on a regular schedule to talk to someone about my insecurities. Who knows the opportunities I lost because I was scared or embarrassed. Many of my regrets are from missed opportunities that in hindsight where caused by my anxiety.

I understand it’s scary. I’ve been there. However you have to understand how toxic it is to live this way. It will be hard but if being who you are means losing your family then maybe it’s time to let them go.

I am a manager at my job and see this type of stuff all the time. Could it be he simply wants to be friendly? Sure. Either way it’s better to be direct so there is zero confusion.

I would tell him, “Look John, you’re a nice guy but I’m not interested in making small talk with you”. And then just continue your work. If he doesn’t leave you alone after that then it’s time to go to HR. Please do not feel bad. Some people lack self awareness at the workplace and don’t know how to act in a professional setting.

I am not a Democrat. At this point I’m closer to Independent because both parties have gone off the rails over that last decade. However I understand the importance of this election and I understand how our system works. Voting 3rd party does nothing but pull votes from Democrats. It happens EVERY election. I’m sorry to burst your bubble but voting third party doesn’t give you the moral high ground. It just makes you an idiot because not only will your candidate not be elected but more often than not you enable Republicans to win elections based on how our voting system works.
