They should just have put a stronger SoC in there, as well as a way bigger battery.

We need raw power so that the DEs can be run smoothly to attract more people who are able to work on efficiency, which makes it possible to reduce battery size again, after.

A Linux phone needs to be able to run games and not die so fast, like all the linux based handheld consoles. 🤔 maybe one of those PCBs can be used for strong phone by adding a modem 🤗

  • Well I have never created a space, it just now came to my mind that you could have the same setup as discord with public and private chats where new blood can write and get approved to join the private stuff 🤔 and thus I agree. It most likely just because many have a discord account and only few a account on a matrix instance

  • Well, if you want publicly available discussions, I think a lemmy community would be well suited, since you can block people from posting or commenting stuff there, but block reading does not work. If you want that it is not public, I would say one of the most convenient and save places would be a matrix space. It is like discord just not a service, but a protocol (well matrix organisation does host an own instance) that allows having private e2e encrypted chat rooms and even video call using jitsi. I just fear, that getting people into the space is a bit more difficult compared to the invitation systems of discord using bots.

  • I am old enough that already have lost some childhood (e.g. early iPod touch) games to time

Like all the donout games Or papi games Doodle jump …

Some still exist, but got updates that they not at all behaving like remembered or having tons of ads making it impossible to game

    As an example:

I am so happy that they released Hill Climb Racing again without ads, sadly it is on Apple Arcade, but luckily my parents have a Apple One subscription that I am allowed to use through family sharing (for the time being)

But if this subscription is ended, I have no way on playing Hill Climb Racing in a version without tons of micropayments and ads.
