Would rioting actually make anything better? Seems like people have more to lose by rioting than they do by posting a mean tweet

Why do you need your own community? You guys are adults the same as us
Jrose11 for mostly gen 1 and 2 solo runs of pokemon games (although he covers most of the series as well)
I’m a big fan of his series covering the entire NES and GB libraries on YouTube as well as retronauts!
Conover is on Mastodon as well at @adamconover@mastodon.social
If you don’t know what you are doing and ask LLMs for code then you are gonna waste time debugging it without understanding but if you are just asking it for boiler plate stuff, or are asking it to add comments and print outs to console for existing code for debugging, it’s really great for that. Sometimes it needs chastising or corrections but so do humans.
I find it very useful but not worth the environmental cost or even the monetary cost. With how enshittified Google has become now though I find that ChatGPT has become a necessary evil to find reliable answers to simple queries.
My problem is that I wait 20 years to late to play games and they cost more second hand than they originally did. GameCube fan problem
It can’t happen without some major fuckening from the Supreme Court which would absolutely end it’s legitimacy and would probably end in standoffs between US Marshalls and blue state courts and federal courts in liberal circuits as they just completely ignore the Supreme Court going forward.
The text of the 22nd amendment couldn’t be interpreted any other way except as written: “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.”
API debacle. Went from Apollo for Reddit to Voyager for Lemmy
Hog barns or farrowing houses typically don’t have high roofs and you can accommodate more pigs in the same amount of space.
It’s more of how things were engineered and for what uses. IE if the barn is also used for hay or equipment storage in addition to accommodating livestock
Nothing is wrong with it as long as everyone realizes that it isn’t really resistant to enshittification as the network stands now and isn’t meaningfully federated or decentralized yet
Revoke my license then Sony, if you can’t then I don’t care about stupid unenforceable clauses in EULAs.
There should never be any sort of EULA needed to access software that isn’t networked. Requiring an agreement to an Acceptable Use Policy is reasonable and violation of those terms resulting in a network ban is reasonable. Otherwise software usage rights should be unlimited and you can prove I caused damage via copyright infringement or prosecute me via CFAA.
Our oldest kid doesn’t believe in the tooth fairy. We didn’t push him to be a skeptic he just is that way. He still wants the money put under his pillow so we oblige in that part of the tradition at least. Our younger two haven’t lost any teeth so don’t how we will handle it for them.
Lemmy and Mastodon for me. I don’t get a lot of engagement on Mastodon but I never did on twitter either. So Lemmy is probably 90% of my interaction and mastodon is basically an reader for certain hashtags and people on the fedi
If someone really wants to use the contribution of the expelled maintainers they can just make their own fork. Part of the Free in FOSS is the freedom to associate or not associate with contributors.

After Apollo went down, made me realize how much unnecessary screen time I was wasting my life on. The smaller size and scope of the fediverse is probably better for my mental health than Twitter/Reddit were
I don’t use Reddit whatsoever. Being away from that site for 18 months has really shown how low quality the content there is. I know longer have any desire to ever interact with that site if I can help it, even if the fediverse is missing some of the active niche communities on reddit
!parenting@lemmy.world is pretty active. Doesn’t get a huge amount of discussion threads but when someone starts one they always have plenty of responses.
Until sorry little pig boy spez’s god tells him “that isn’t very cash money of you” and then does a nazi salute, then he will step in to remove mods who block his god’s site
