Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•You've just won a competition and now a major game developer has to make whatever game you want for free. No compromises. Your vision. Period. What game do you make?English
3·6 days agoThis would make for quite an intriguing video game. I couldn’t help but think, that this could make for a great one season only TV show.
I didn’t quite pick up a theme or a point in time for your story, but it would work well as a western or medieval times tale.
There’s so much that could be involved with this story. I love!
Just like what Matt Stone and Trey Parker shared a college writing class. “therefore or but” should be at the beginning of your story beats. So, I could see it being an interesting turn of events if a storm blows through, where ever they ended up. And because of the storm, the caravan’s thick canvas cover starts to come undone at one end. Making our protagonist to jump into action but weighing weather or not, she would dare step out of the caravan to attempt to retie the corner point of canvas cover. Would she decide to attempt to tie it down enough from inside, but know that she will have to retie it sooner or later? Or perhaps, she’s frighted and/or exhausted, and holds on tightly to her partner, and hope. She needs to protect them both, as it’s blowing hard enough that a tree or tree limb nearby, might come crashing down on the caravan that was parked inside a grove. Adding to this, is the moderate rain that is soaking everything it can. And with every passing minute, it sounds like it’s coming down harder. Does she risk doing what she needs to prevent the caravan canvas cover from getting blown open even more, than allowing the rain in, or can she find another way to get out of this situation?
Another scenario I thought of was this. Depending on where this takes place, there could be an intense moment of driving the caravan down a steep and at times rugged trail. Her best option for time, is to risk the steep path, that would lead to a small town just a two miles from the mountain. Or she would have to spend a full day and spent money to pay to have her caravan floated down the river nearby. Neither or sure bets, but time is of the essence, if she’s to find a suitable doctor to aid her partner.
((No joke. The more I typed this out, the more I wanted to know what happens and who it all started. What would you add? =) ))

Ha! I kid, I kid.
Most likely, it was mess with people psychologically, adds to a better defense and simply, it looks more impressive than if you were to have a ordinary sized double doorway.
Psychologically because, are you more likely to want to go through a massive double door entryway or a normal sized single doorway? There’s wonderment and/or worriment as to what lies on the other side of these doors than others.

11·3 months agoI’m part of the Caucasian Caucus (reference). I wanted to hear from our fellow Fedi users who were black, and hear how things have been for them here. I was going to make a follow up question, to ask them how we could make the Fediverse a more safe and welcoming place for them. It was all with good intent from me. Just wanting to make the world a better place, in any way I can.

– Adding to this, if you have a weed-eater or edger, you could see about doing their edging instead or as well.
