So… Yes. We can separate the two because if the state ceased it’s anti-capitalist activities, this wouldn’t be a problem.

Yeah. Anarchy doesn’t work. No argument there. But the blame for exorbitant college tuition lies with the state, not with capitalism.

The ease of student loans would not exist without government backing. In a pure capitalism, this wouldn’t be a problem.

Cults are defined by cult-like activity. Cult-like activity is bad because it abuses people.

If there’s a “cult” that doesn’t actually have cult-like activity, then it’s not really a cult.

Even lemmy.ml has suffered the occasional server hiccup. Most of the big instances are pretty stable now though

What I really want is the ability to hide a community’s posts from the All and Local pages. (only visible if you go direct or you’re subscribed)

And if you search for the community you’re able to find it.

Sin certainly has religious elements yes. But every wrong doing is sin. And the big ones are in the ten commandments, which include things like stealing, murder, and cheating on your spouse.

Sin is most commonly defined as “wrong doing”. If you think murder is bigotry, I’m not sure what to tell you.

I’m still on reddit. But only like 5 subs. (stuff important to me that goes way beyond reddit’s idiocy)

So I’ve unsubscribed to everything except those.

1. Report queue. Right now, reports go to a queue that both instance owners and mods use. This makes it impossible to mod because the instance owners mark items as completed before mods even had a chance to look at them.

Now, if it’s the case where it’s user abuse it’s fine for the instance owner to take care of it.

But if it’s just breaking the rule of a community, the instance owner should never even see it.

Separating the queues would help both mods and instance owners.

2. The ability to hide a community from All and/or Local. Some communities just aren’t appealing to the general public. And when All surfers see posts, they just downvote them into oblivion.
