Some good ideas for what you asked for in this comment section, but have you thought about trying to solve it slightly differently? I have a similar problem and a diatomaceous earth bath mat has done a lot to absorb the slop pretty rapidly.

For me, it’s imagining how such a soft and squishy body might behave on a hard and flat surface. There looks to be minimal deformation on the underside of the creature. Additionally, it looks slimy, but you can’t see any liquid on the creature or the surface.

I’ve been working to build a large collection of DS and 3DS games that I still enjoy to this day on the original hardware.

As a side rant, the 3DS/2DS really is a great console. It has a huge catelog of affordable games that can be purchased used from eBay and it doesn’t have the requirement to be online like the switch does. I took my switch off grid a while ago and was mega disappointed to find I couldn’t play a single game without “updates” because this wasn’t my “primary console” (a concept I didn’t realize existed or mattered).

+1 to this. I found myself wanting to watch them/hear them. I also found myself wanting to know what their favorite (fill in the blank) was. You know someone, but sometimes those specific tangible things about their preferences get forgotten.

This could be a really interesting short story. Aliens, but very tiny and focused on interacting with things on earth as a similar scale. Abducting bugs, crop circles in your back yard, etc.

I’m not a 3D printing expert, but that looks pretty challenging even if you had the model. Lots of small details and undercuts.

That being said, I bet you could get close by converting the image to grayscale and then using that as a height map to make a model.

I’d agree with this take with the caveat that IMO the maintainers could have done a better job. Just like OP should have assumed positive intent and tweaked their communication style, the maintainers should have been clearer with their asks and stop hinting about what they want.
