Wasn’t there some companion game to EVE Online that was supposed to be like that?

I loved Final Fantasy IX but sometimes I think I dreamed it because no one else ever talks about it, just VI, VII, and then over to X usually lol.

Like others I mostly miss the discussions in my old niche hobby subs. Luckily a lot seem to have communities here, they just need more participation.

The front page of reddit is so bad now. It’s like 1/4 feel good memes, 1/4 variations of rate my pic subs, 1/4 ask reddit questions with the same answers I’ve seen a ton of times before, and 1/4 news and reviews. It’s somehow bland pop culture nonsense mixed with whining and anger.

I can get the first and last 1/4 from Lemmy now and the other stuff I don’t care about, so I get through the Reddit first few pages way faster than I used to now (when I’m browsing bored at work).

Mostly Jerboa nowadays and Sync nowadays. I used to use Voyager and Connect and Liftoff, which are all good also in their own ways, but Jerboa and Sync seemed to have the best functionality for me in terms of interacting with different communities and instances across the fediverse. I also need to look into Thunder one of these days.

What’s your instance like? I’ve never seen that one before.

Were you guys able to get some of your community to switch over? Chaptraphouse was successful with hexbear but I don’t see a lot of other communities having luck (such as !futurology@futurology.today).

Even the “!” link? Sometimes I have to click on it, give it time to pull the community, and then go back and click on the link again for it to actually show up, so maybe try that?

“Jesus Christ” is just a fun expression, whether it’s yelling it while hitting your finger while hammering in a nail or under your breath watching your friend feed his lane opponent in League of Legends.

Probably because they asked for uncommon comedy movies and that one pretty famous after winning am Oscar lol. Although I still haven’t seen it and definitely need to.

Inspired by another answer in this thread, Kung Fu Hustle. It’s also a pretty good Kung Fu movie, similar to how Shawn of the Dead manages to be both a comedy and a pretty good zombie movie.

As did my ex. It really restricted where we could eat out for breakfast.

Haha probably, but it was the only thing I could think of that people would want to be cold faster. Maybe some other desserts, like lemon meringue or banana cream pies.
