0·15 days agoDepends on a couple different factors such as how robust you want the data encoded and the length of the tape.
Assuming 1mm thick tape encoding 11 bits (8 data, 3 error correction) per row at about 1mm wide and 10 meters of tape; you could store 10MB robustly. Higher density is more difficult but entirely possible.
A $5 computer could be good enough if you are willing to learn and do things via the command line, ssh and carefully engineer it as you go

My husband worked on a GPLv3 project as a hobby and they blamed him for not addressing their concerns (because they didn’t pay him or anyone else on the project) and it was impacting their crypto-currency launch.
Yeah, literally everyone else was more reasonable than crypto-bros and it is why my husband gave up on that project entirely.
Completely fucking unhinged are all the people in the crypto-currency community. They never fund anything and go apeshit if everyone doesn’t do shitloads of free work for them.
