They’re both planning on the same thing, it sounds like.
It doesn’t sound like Disney is licensing their content to Netflix, they’re both just essentially replicating cable TV based on their catalogues with ads interspersed.

Ah hello fellow Garuda user and Star Trek fan.
May you and your OS Live Long and Prosper.
You don’t need to sign up for forums for them to be searched through.
The point is that Discord is an information black hole. It’s all contained within the server, unindexed, private, hidden, and entirely gone if the server gets deleted.
Yes.
The correct answer was forum.
I agree with tapes if the data is large and not accessed frequently. Magnetic tapes are still one of the most information-dense mediums, surprisingly. WORM tapes are Write Once Read Many and are used by serious large enterprises for long-term archival storage.
I have my share of issues with Dells, but the last HP machine I had killed itself through fan failure and overheating.
My Dells tend to break to wear and tear from me being not so gentle with them - I think I’ve had two Dells that had hinge issues, but that’s not as major as an overheating problem.
They have awful support. They build machines that are prone to overheating, their servers are second to Dell (who have considerably better support), there’s a lot about HP not to appreciate.
As a friend of sysadmins I hear horror stories of HP server racks and I hear most shops running with Dell enterprise plans both for laptops and servers.
Funny implication that .ml users are not dramatic.
They pushed it back. They’ve done so several times with Manifest V3.
Car manufacturers are not tech companies.
Let the tech companies handle the tech and let the manufacturers handle building a solid vehicle.
I’ve never seen an OEM interface solution that was nearly as good as CarPlay or AndroidAuto.
I like my Mazda, and I like the knob and physical buttons. I don’t like the interface over AA though.
It works better with newer cards. I am currently using Wayland on my 3090 and it works about 75% of the way I want it to. Occasionally the taskbar and/or system clock will freeze, which is fixed by a relog. Also the translucency in themes does not render properly, but that’s a small price to pay for full refresh rates across varied monitors.
I have a laptop with a 1650 and because it’s kind of a weird half-niche card, Wayland does not work well with it forcing me to stick with X.
Newer GPUs are fine in Wayland. I have a 3090 and Wayland is the only way I can get full refresh rates on all my monitors because X locks you to the lowest value. Only thing is that the translucency on themes doesn’t render super well and sometimes the system clock and taskbars will freeze up. That aside, it’s been a good gaming experience overall.
All the rumors for 12/CoreOS are saying it’s going to be in Rust.
I’m a pretty old fashioned guy, I don’t really use the mobile apps, so I’m hoping for the backend update sooner rather than later, since I use the mlmym layout wherever available.
I have Connect on my phone but I don’t use it often.
One of the major issues is replication and propagation of illegal material. Because of the way that content is mirrored and replicated across the fediverse, attacks that flood communities with things like CSAM inevitably find their way to other federated sites due to the interconnectedness of the fediverse.
The only response currently to dealing with these types of attacks, even if they’re not directed at you, is to generally defederate with the instance being attacked. This means whoever was attacking the site with CSAM has won, because they successfully made it so that the community becomes disjointed and disconnected from the rest of the fediverse with the hopes that it will die.
This whole federated system is about whack-a-mole.
I hate politics, so I filter it out. Oh, look, somebody spun up a new instance! Time to filter out the same fucking communities I filtered on every other goddamn instance.
Sports is another one. I hoped everything would end up on fanaticus.social but no, we need our own communities on our own instances, making it so that there are seven communities dedicated to the same team.
You also don’t have to worry about it fucking disappearing on you unless you have a drive failure.
