+1 for tumbleweed. Swapped to it from Ubuntu a few years back and it’s been great. Up-to-date everything, very stable, built in recovery just in case the last update had some regressions. Highly recommend

When my pixel 5a decided to stop using the screen, I was able to do a full phone backup using the OTG to plug in a keyboard. Ridiculous but was a fun troubleshooting moment

Was disables for some reason. Enabling it fixed the issue

Ah that fixed it thanks! Should probably be under look and feel? Is it on by default? I don’t remember turning it off

I can open a bug report, but list view is still not showing the vote scores unfortunately

OP is looking to move away from Google. Immediately getting locked into a different, arguably more restrictive, platform isn’t a solution.

Now in general:

Pros:

• free (paid plan only?)
• company will stay in business for a while

Cons:

• subject to Apple’s privacy policy
• US based company, not great for privacy
• locked into a different platform
• Apple’s walled garden ecosystem means long term use is questionable. Will Apple keep supporting 3rd party email clients in 1,3,5 years? Do they even support it now? Who knows?
• Apple has control over your account. If they screw you over on an iPhone purchase and you do a credit card charge back on them (for any reason really) do they let you keep your account? Google doesn’t

I’m using Migadu and it’s been great so far. Not many bells and whistles but it’s just email. Also allows you to control your own email address and not be locked into a different platform
