If you wanna help your case stop referring to women as “females”. It makes them sound like objects.

Until they’re testing and pass NHTSA standards, fuckin nope.
Maybe people will change their minds once they see the aftermath of high speed crashes in these things. Or crashes with a MUCH heavier vehicle. With the weight of EVs these days you NEED a car that’s designed around safety.
It’s a different type of plastic, AFAIK it’s like a spray on polymer for the aluminum cans; But I think the biggest factor is probably UV degradation of the ingredients in the soda with the clear plastic bottles.
Aloomineeum
It’s true, but the amount of plastic in the cans is pretty negligible, especially compared to plastic bottles and the aluminum can is still by far the most recyclable beverage container.
Also there are new linings that don’t use plastic but natural materials called oleoresinous linings but they’re not good for acidic things so they’re not very wildly used.
That’s not entirely true. In the early days they used wax to line the cans because steel still leaves a taste in the drink. It just didn’t work very well and also caused carbonation issues as the CO2 diffused into the wax.
They already do in the US, they sell beer like this. And I’m pretty sure I’ve seen water packaged like this too.
Can anyone post the entire article or a link? It’s paywalled.
If you read the linked article it’s the latter. They explicitly say Google changed their algorithm and reddit consistently ranks at the top now. Even over the articles which the reddit thread is about.
It’s like you glossed over my entire comment and only read the last word…
While I agree and have no problem with furries, I think the issue is people seeing, what a lot of people in their own community see as linked to a sexual kink, being brought out into public spaces.
“Sexual attraction to furry characters is a polarizing issue. In one survey with 4,300 furry respondents, 37% answered that sexual attraction is important in their furry activities, 38% were ambivalent, and 24% answered that it has little or nothing to do with their furry activities.”
“Another survey at a furry convention in 2013 found that 96.3% of male furry respondents reported viewing furry pornography, compared with 78.3% of female; males estimated 50.9% of all furry art they view is pornographic, compared with 30.7% of females.”
So like clearly there is a large sexual component to the fandom, and I think it weirds people out and makes people uncomfortable when they see these people wearing their fur suits out in public. Which again to be clear is not something the entire community does or even tolerates, but there’s enough people who do so that it’s become part of the cultural zeitgeist.
But it’s also just the fact that it’s so far from normal vanilla experiences. Everyday people think role playing sexually is already adventurous and out there. Now add big animal suits that are typically associated with mascots for entertaining children and I think anyone can see why everyday people think it’s weird.
encourages short and unambiguous statements which cannot possibly accurately encapsulate an issue
Conservatives in a nutshell. (I’ll add the /s here for anyone not getting the joke that I’m doing the exact thing we’re talking about)
I’m gonna sum up my feelings on this with a (probably bad) analogy.
AI taking software developer jobs is the same thinking as microwaves taking chefs jobs.
They’re both just tools to help you achieve the same goal easier/faster. And sometimes the experts will decide to forego the tool and do it by hand for better quality control or high complexity that the tool can’t do a good job at.
Good thing there’s no Spotify for sheet music yet… I probably shouldn’t give them ideas.
Why are we using Fox News as a source for a science related topic? Lul…
Lol I don’t think the reliability difference between Lexus and Toyota is measurable. If anything I see way more old Toyotas on the road than I do old Lexuses. But that may be just because less were produced.
Nero’s Soundtrax application, bundled in the Nero Multimedia Suite, is capable of encoding and decoding this format into several others.
It’s available for free now: https://nero-soundtrax.en.softonic.com/
If you’re willing to run a windows VM you could probably convert them back to normal MP3s.
The days of everything having a 30 pin adapter. What a wild time.
There are apps which offer user specific filters. I highly suggest switching to one. It’s made my lemmy experience much better.
I’m assuming they’re North American.
