Is your Sonoff dongle plugged directly into your HA server? I found that adding a short extension cable usually cleared up interference.

For what it’s worth, I have a sky connect dongle and the Aqara water sensors. Haven’t had an issue.

Not open source but Synology photos is probably as close as you can get to a Google photos experience. Of course you need a Synology nas.
