You can change your product.json to gain access to the Microsoft extension repositories. I still don’t do it because fuck ms, for the few extensions that I do need I download them as .vsix on the web frontend.

This looks cool ans they apparently did obtain results (I haven’t read the actual research paper though), the way it is presented in this article is dubious. They are just slapping together buzzwords like “artificial intelligence”
