Lol, that was an obscure one - I haven’t seen that movie since it came out
Crumpet?! Croquet!

I’m not all worms and tubes. My mom would certainly have told me… she wouldn’t have kept something like that from me… MOM?!
Calvin will grow up to be a manager at a Target, and his superiors will love him.

Hey, boss, I realize 90% of our unit prices are already pure profit, but I reckon we can get that to 95% by blaming an increase in chip prices. Actually, you know what, our users are already locked in an fucked if they don’t buy our shit, so let’s go for it.

Fuck yeah, I miss being able to send messages without looking at my phone, or even removing it from my pocket.

Indeed. I’m very old, and had to think twice to even remember It Wasn’t Me.
You have one of the coolest, most recognizable logos there is, and you do this.

In Australian it’s written yeah nah.

Made me think of a documentary I saw, on some Americans working in Norway, where an American guy was asked what the biggest difference was between Americans and Norwegians, and he proudly proclaimed “Norwegians work to live, Americans live to work”.

Indeed, there’s a very noticeable anti-american sentiment among so many I talk to, these days.
E.g. a dude at work mentioned just the other day how he found it hard not to use youtube but he strived to at least not watch American channels. Also at work, ongoing discussions on how to best lessen dependency on US products/services, since orange made it clear we can’t depend on the US as a reliable partner and in turn nor the companies that call it home.

I agree. I probably would’ve disagreed 15 years ago - 2001 hardware would’ve felt archaic by 2010.
Hardware made 10 years ago is, for the average person, likely good enough to get them through another decade, if the accompanying software was kept lean. But that kinda thinking doesn’t help bank accounts swell, does it…

Indeed, but unlike 11 it was still more OS than a bloated slop generator.

There’s a few hundred in there but they’re all at least 10 years old, and I never look at them.
Definitely mildly interesting. I had a similar experience recently, discovering my broken toys in the basement of my parent’s old house.
Me too! Must be 20+ years since I bought it.
