This is brilliant - one quality rant, for sure.
Egss are a metric, which people are focusing on but they’re forgetting whybits a useful metric ('cos it’s protein that’s cheaper than meat and a useful building block of a lot of foods)
Maybe you could change the message a little bit and enter deeper into her world?
We had a stage where we’d play variations on the floor is lava and set up obstacle courses for them - often just by spreading cushions around as stepping stones. Now this is probably a bit lame for your wee one but where I’m going with this is when you start including elevation (chairs or if you’ve got bar stools that are tall?) the pillows in the floor start to roll.
Them you join in the game as the lava crocodile and capture them any chance they’re too low or make mistakes, and something is bound to happen before long…
So this has three parts to it:
Good luck!
Yeah, when I was a teenager a bunch of us went off the deep end in school. It was crazy complex, though! Gave me a huge respect for the amount of work that goes into things (especially the high polygon stuff! I’ve really no idea how it works nowadays though…)
Oh for sure, I did plenty of level building. The d1 map mode was so hard to read when the wireframe layers occluded each other though (can’t remember what it looked like in some!)
As much as I hated the thief (and catching it early in each level was a priority!), I recognised it as a good mechanic.
My problem was the level complexity in d2 and 3 - it just got too tedious and hard to navigate which killed the fun. The annoyung guidebot was absolutely necessary!
Holy crap, a successor got released?!
I remember when the alpha was melting down years ago!
I loved D1. 2 & 3 weren’t that great, but something about that original game really stuck with me
Yeah, that really narrows it down, doesn’t it?
Point is, I don’t think these guys have much of a plan in themselves. Sure, the party cooked up project 2025, but the ‘leaders’ sure are being led here and don’t seem to have much grasp of things
Maybe thats naïve
I finally got to the end of the article where they hang this tidbit:
President-elect Donald Trump said this month that he will elevate Commissioner Andrew Ferguson, a Republican attorney, to lead the agency. Following the announcement, Ferguson, “At the FTC, we will end Big Tech’s vendetta against competition and free speech. We will make sure that America is the world’s technological leader and the best place for innovators to bring new ideas to life.”
Trump also said he would nominate Republican lawyer Mark Meador as a commissioner, describing him as an “antitrust enforcer” who previously worked at the FTC and the Justice Department. Meador is also a former aide to Sen. Mike Lee, a Utah Republican who introduced legislation to break up Google.
This is great and all but would the new government actually do anything despite the best efforts of the agencies??
I doubt these crooks would support it at all!
We’re mostly staying around at home with a few weeks off which will be lovely (it’s a small sized government city, so empties out as everyone goes away on holiday). The weather is warm and humid and so the city is so much more pleasant and liveable without traffic and so on.
We have lots of hills to get out into, so in going hoping to get on my bike a lot. There’s skate parks for the 16 y/o and so on. I might finally get around to stringing up a tree swing for the teens, hopefully (and thats how I put one of the kids in hospital over the new year… - fingers crossed).
I hope this doesn’t come across as bragging just the southern hemisphere has a very different vibe to the US/Europe scheme
Similar to this, I’ve got a real beef with our unresolved insecuritues we have as a people (in principle. Obviously in practise this is hard).
I feel like the insecurities that essentially, drive us, are really holding us back from meaningful progress on our legitimately hard problems with climate, energy/food distribution, etc…
We’re still drawn into BS distractions and opposing teams and whatnot like a bunch of monkeys with sticks (which is apt, to be fair)
I take it you had to flash the particular rom to install docker (it would work natively on android?)
At first I thought you were insane but I’m slowly coming around to the idea.
Too bad the screen breaking is usually why mine get replaced
She does sound like she started off completely naïve
I see so much negative press about pretty much anything China does, this is quite exciting (to be fair, they do a lot of concerning stuff!)
Holy crap there’s a ton of these that they’ve made?!
And it was always temporary!
I’ve had less fall out than I had cases where the screw stuck in the socket and it started unscrewing out of the motherboard that I just gave up on them altogether
Well, of course they are, but so is just about everything
“Cheater!” - I loved that voice
