Why don’t you tell me some more about what you like about Fossil… I’m assuming you’ve used other version control systems - how would you compare the feeling of actually using it in a collaborative workflow? How did you even come across Fossil in the first place?
This is my first time hearing about it, so would love to hear more straight from an actual user.
Yeah wtf it’s like there’s like a wolverine loose in the comments section
This seems really cool!! And I love to see alternatives to git. But @MITM0@lemmy.world, you need to cool it on the replies. You’re making the Fossil community look hostile by association.
Fair. I mean same, it’s not for everyone.
What kind of shape are your feet in tho?
Photographer seems like a good one. I’ve a friend who works four days a week, and occasionally fills in the extra day or weekend with a quick professional photo shoot.
Edits in the evenings while rewatching movies.
It’s pretty chill. That one day off actually earned them more than if they worked five days a week, even if they only work it once in a while.
Why /s? I feel like this is the perfect example if you can get away with only doing it part time. I have an aunt who does foot stuff on there and seems to do pretty well
Or after the “but” and before the “and”
I go back and forth. I like getting cozy and warm, but when it’s cold my skin feels uncomfortable, like it’s crawling or shrinking on me, like I put it on wrong. And my hands feel gross and cold and I rue having to touch myself with them in the bathroom.
But when I get warm enough it’s nice.
I’ve read 500 page novels that have touched me less than these 5 paragraphs.
Thank you for sharing this story.
So anyway, I love those dark maples with the leaves that are so blue they’re almost black in certain light. I call them goth maples.

Bandcamp follows and whatever is playing on CBC music.
I know I shouldn’t have even started, but I did, quitting smoking and drinking. It was really, really hard.
Howling Dogs: https://xrafstar.monster/games/twine/howlingdogs/
It’s a little Twine game that you can enjoy just in your browser (see link above), but it’s great.
Just saw you got it already - enjoy Disco Elysium!
Some of the best, most enjoyable, games writing I have ever seen. Every character is a treat.
Like toothpaste?
The dentist’s house handed out toothbrushes. Which actually was really thoughtful and appreciated by the poorer parents
Yeah, but as others have said, your “true” life is both those periods of pause and play. Better way to look at it imho is how much you do for others vs yourself, and if you’re happy with that split.
I would consider your future self an other person as well, though obviously you do want to look after them.
