I’d quit stop using Reddit quite some tine ago, mostly a philosophical thing. Saw on Mastodon mention about a Reddit (aka Usenet 2.0) like replacement on Lemmy so, here I am.

I had been using Boost on Reddit, so I grabbed that as well as play with other apps like Jerboa, Raccoon.

I’d also suggest that journalism is mostly interlectual trash that clutters your mind. Really important events will find their way to you.

An example, I’m not an American (i did live there back in the mid 1990s, before I relaised it wasn’t for me) and I will likely Vote Green until I die. I’d prefer a livable biospbere and little better treament of minorities. Others prefer the opposite but their entreaties to get me to think their way won’t work so why would I bother listening?

I have zero Pi exposure but i use Linux Mint Debian Edition on my desktop, so the Pi Debian OS would be familar I assume?

I don’t have an issue with “toxicity” as i just ignore it, like a dog shit on the side walk. I prefer the “BBS/Usenet format” to Twitter like Mastodon though I am over on Masto and had been there for many years. I don’t participate much though.
