Looks like an issue with your windows install. I would check in the settings that you’re not in power saving mode or something like that, it could reduce the power allocation for the GPU and CPU, and it may also disable the dedicated GPU when enabled. It’s true there are some games that are faster in Linux, but it’s usually within 5-10% of Windows, not over double the performance

Pour le Qualcomm, en fait le problème c’est pas vraiment le support du CPU mais plutôt le fait que le bootloader fonctionne comme les téléphones Android, où il faut une configuration unique (DeviceTree) à chaque ordinateur pour qu’il puisse démarrer car leur processeur ne supporte pas le standard Arm SystemReady.
En règle générale, avec les Dell XPS, Thinkpad ou un Framework auront virtuellement 0 problèmes de comptabilité avec Linux (sauf pour ceux avec les processeurs Snapdragon qui viennent de sortir, eux ne démarreront même pas).

I think it’s fine because the recording is not saved unless you explicitly tell it to save. If it’s anything like Nvidia’s shadow play, you set an amount of time, say 5 minutes that it keeps in memory, and when you save the clip, it simply saves that file containing the last 5 minutes.
I have seen reports of Firefox crashing under Wayland and that the way to make it work was to disable Wayland in Firefox or iirc to add a kernel parameter. Maybe it was fixed in Firefox too, but I saw some people saying the flatpak was somehow now affected (?)
Oh, I hear there are some pretty major issues with Firefox and explicit sync on Wayland. Does anyone know if fedora will have patches to make sure everything works fine when it releases to rpmfusion? If not then I might wait a bit…

LPCAMM2 just got released into as a solution to fast and efficient RAM being soldered on, and now they just said soldered RAM is not sufficient anymore… I’m not happy about this, repairability is important and all those companies pretend to support it while pulling stuff like this at the same time.

1080p is just fine, but it’s not good and definitely not great. If you’ve tried a high DPI display like the ones on MacBooks, you’ll know what I’m talking about. Using a computer at 200% scaling just makes everything so much more pleasing to look at, especially the text. The pixels are gone, so everything looks sharp and smooth. I really cannot wait for 5K 27" monitors with high refresh rates to come out. This will likely be an instant buy from me, except if it’s like 2 grand.
General high DPI with the same relative UI scale as 24" 1080p, but with much sharper visuals:
24" 4k 27" 5k 32" 6k
And the good thing is you can always set your game to use half the resolution and it will look as if it was the lowdpi equivalent, because the pixels are simply grouped using 3 neighbors, no fractional scale BS.
My laptop has a 3072*1920 screen that I use at 200% scale on Linux, and I wouldn’t buy anything that doesn’t work well at 200%. Apple seem like the only ones who understood this with MacOS that is designed to be used at 200% on basically ALL their retina monitors. this is why they have weird definitions, because they need to hit 200%, and based on the size of the display, a standard resolution won’t reach exactly 200% and the UI will be too small or too large.
