I am fine with bug fixes and maybe feature additions. This is the main reason I usually leave automatic updates on for things.

I am not fine with drastic changes that rearrange the UI or remove functionality that once existed. Or, in the case of some video games, completely changing the game from what I bought into a different game I didn’t ask for.

I am not giving anyone anything. These aren’t even new. Spy cameras of various size and shape disguised as something NOT a camera have existed since I was a kid.

I dont think I have identified with anyone more than Leonard from Big Bang Theory. He is basically the one character on the show that is very much like a real person when all the rest are exaggerated stereotypes.

My personal thought here is that if any choice I have in a mobile device won’t let me control the device the way I want, install what I want, etc I’m gonna get the one that looks nicer. And as much as I dislike iPhones, they do look nicer. I’m getting screwed either way; might as well get screwed by something pretty.

I have had that happen when super tired. Maybe too drunk or after having been awake for more than 30 hours straight. Only maybe once out of nowhere, and I could just focus through it and it went away.

I would not expect privacy in those places (excepting the bathrooms and locker rooms), either, unless the specific retailer or gym had a policy against filming other patrons. And even then, I would expect them to be filming me anyway as part of their security.

I’m not for people filming everything, everywhere but I am also not naive to expect a level of privacy out and about among other people outside of your home, therapy, or a doctor’s office.

If you’re in public, you have no expectation of privacy.

It’d be one thing if you were at a hospital or at home. But walking down the street? No such privacy.

In this case, it is typical.

I listen to Mars Volta. They like to use random, non-English words a lot. But they usually use them correctly in the English sentence if you look up what the word is, which is not at all like most Japanese music I’ve heard injecting English into the Japanese. Most of the time, the Japanese music I listen to is being really nonsensical and seems to just throw the english in because it sounds cool, not because it fits any meaning.

I owned a MindDrive. It did not help me get better at CS like I had expected. 😔
