I meant “it easily could have been” in the sense that it if it hadn’t been taken seriously, it would affected virtually everyone in some way.

A friend of mine got a high-paying temp job reprogramming servers in some obscure programming language. I think the client was a major bank.
Yeah, a lot of dirtbags took advantage of Y2K, but that doesn’t mean Y2K wasn’t a serious problem. It easily could have been.

The best first aid for someone having a seizure is to shove a wallet (or something) in their mouth, so that they don’t “swallow their tongue”.
NO!
Never do this. Absolutely never. It’s far more likely that you’ll injure the victim (or yourself) in the attempt.
Furthermore, don’t restrain a seizure victim in any way unless it’s absolutely necessary for their physical safety (like if they’re in danger of falling down a stairway. Even then, it’s usually better to just stand at the top step and act as a barrier). Whenever possible, move things they may hit out of their way; don’t try to move the victim. If there’s something you can’t move, try to put something soft between the victim and the object.
Most of the time, the best thing you can do for a seizure victim is to not touch them at all, and simply give them room.

Hexbear = irrational behavior and drama. That’s WAY oversimplified, but a good rule of thumb.

Yeah, I’m just messing with ya

Just to play devils advocate, there are certain people that I don’t want to see naked, and certain kinds of sex that I NEVER want to see. I can imagine that some of that would be considered traumatizing.

Ah. I didn’t realize that Meta considered them “whistleblowers”. It’s still a shitty thing to do, but shitty is what corporations excel at.

I don’t understand why the outsourcing firm was punished. As far as I can tell, a thousand people are losing their jobs for no reason. This wasn’t their fault, and I don’t see what problem is being solved here. It makes absolutely no sense.

Does it count if we left and came back?
It was a great reception, but the photographer had weed, so…

If it makes you self conscious enough to ask, do yourself a favor and ditch it.

A habit isn’t often something you can quit cold turkey. Before replying, start asking yourself “is this worth my time?” More and more, the answer will become NO. Just move on.
For those occasions when you can’t resist replying, keep it lighthearted, friendly, and casual. If the response is angry, overly defensive, or otherwise unpleasant, force yourself to walk away. There can be no “winner” in a toxic situation. Even if the facts are on your side, you don’t need the stress.

Probably one of the least visually appealing dishes that’s ever been put in front of me, but it quickly became a favorite!

It’s an old cheap meal from the US depression…
Makes sense. I’d have to be suffering a major economic crisis to even consider an abomination like a peanut butter and mayo sandwich lol

“Gangrenous” is a nice touch

YES. If you’re gonna spend a lot on a tattoo, absolutely pay more for quality. Seeing a poorly done tattoo just makes me sad. I think you’ll have that ugly thing on your skin for the rest of your life. A good tattoo is always worth it.

Admitting a mistake is NOT the same as admitting weakness or stupidity.

Even if I didn’t care about the blasphemy, I’d take that “I was supposed to be a doctor” excuse as a personal insult. For anyone who hasn’t realized it yet, YES, Trump really does think his supporters are fucking idiots.

Apparently, applying window tint is more difficult than it seems.
I regularly see cars with large bubbles between the tint and the glass. I decided years ago that if I want window tint but can’t afford to have it professionally applied, then I can’t afford tint. Having no tint at all is better than living with poorly applied tint.

Well, we’re all seen as a bunch of heathens, so I guess this sort of thing is inevitable. Not cool, but inevitable.
Okay, that’s just funny
