No problem mate. The thread is a mess, but if you read the comments below the top pinned one, you’ll see most of the salient points that pissed people off. The “color” i mentioned above came from all over that thread, with some of it deleted. I know he edited/deleted the “triggered” comment when he was called out, but he never expanded on why he claimed the GOP was the “party of the little guy” and why all the “corporate dems needed to be thrown out” to get anything done. He also opted not to respond at all to people asking why he thought the party of tech billionaires was suddenly going to crack down on tech billionaires besides saying he really liked J.D Vance, a tech millionaire whose political run was funded by, get this, tech billionaire Peter theil.

Dude fawned very publicly over tech billionaire maga, who will do clearly do nothing for privacy and monopoly busting, while pretending that the real issue is chuck shumers and establishment dems.

The bias is clear and prominent.

More happened in the reddit thread though that added some more elements, like the ceo opting for a new user name with “88” in it (a common right wing reference), his unprompted use of the phrase “didnt mean to trigger you,” him evasively refusing to clarify what his stance actually was because “that would be more politics,” on and on. You can read through that thread here, although proton corporate are mods, so i have no idea what they may have deleted at this point.

The thread was full of “mask on” behavior that is pretty transparent to anyone experienced with the alt right on the internet.

Excellent points. The military is a human endeavor, and is just as rife with all the same issues as any other organization, with all the expected biases. Boot camp is tiny part of overall service, and honestly barely relevant to the day to day. Mostly, you will have the same experience in the military as out, just with added hardships. People are still people, even when in uniform.

An attractive, fit, nuerotypical, charming person will have a much better experience than someone out of sorts with the above.

The military doesnt stamp you and everyone elese into the same person. It just presses you into a specific shape to do the specific task they need. Everything else is still there, if not exacerbated by the trauma of it all. They earnestly dont give a shit if that task destroys or improves you, as long as you do the task for the time allotted.

Different outcomes happen because people are different.

Interest was paused for 3+ years due to covid.

Sure. It was a single stall shower room, beautifully tiled in black and enclosed with a full glass door. It had two knobs, hot and cold on the wall that had the rain head. Turning the knobs turned all of the water on everywhere.

The rain head was on non stop, but you could adjust each wall jet like a round garden hose tip. Tighten to concentrate the spray, loosen to make it wider. Tighten all the way to turn off the jet. The wall jets could also be moved in a wide circular arc from their fixed point on the wall.

It was all mechanical, no smart features or anything. I left all the jets on because why the fuck not.

My strangest shower thought came from my strangest shower.

For that moment of time, on someone else’s dime, I was in that world. That realization was almost as surreal as the physical experience itself.

If you do buy the silicondust tuner, you can go further and get a DVR going. Plenty of free projects that will help you setup and record TV like jellyfin, and many of them will auto-skip the ads too with an application called comskip.

Not sure if you’re talking about the top crack or not, but there is epoxy available from home depot/etc that is designed to correct these issues.

You seal the outside of the crack with some sand/plastic sealant, wait a day, then drill a hole near the top of the crack and inject the epoxy. It bonds over the course of a week to be much, much stronger than stone.
